About Us

Campground Coffee was born out of a dream of Brad and Lisa Williams to create a space that did more than serve a great cup of coffee or other hot beverage and a pastry. Brad and Lisa wanted to create a space in their community where connection happened over a cup. Where people talked again, had a place to sit and read, invite a friend or meet someone new. Over the years they’d host ‘Coffee House’ parties in their home. Inviting family, co-workers, and friends with an open invite for them to bring others. Brad would make a variety of drinks for the tasting and enjoyment of everyone and Lisa would always cook up something good to go along with it. Add to the story their daughter, Marilyana who now has her own business, ‘The Wonderful World of Sweets’ and the dream continued to grow. What was the common question at each ‘Coffee House’ party? “When are you all going to open your own coffee shop?”

And that brings us to where we are today. While they intended to open a brick and mortar shop, after multiple opportunities didn’t fit the dream or just didn’t work out for one reason or another they had an idea. Brad had worked in experiential marketing helping create experiences out of modified vehicles for most of 25 years. Lisa had worked in similar roles and even with Brad earlier in his career. One day Brad asked Lisa and Marilyana, “What if we had a coffee camper, but more than just a food trailer, but an actual full coffee shop built out of a travel trailer, RV camper?” Immediately the family got excited and began talking about how this would work, how it would look and how it would not only fulfill their dream but impact their community as a gathering place for connection. After a great deal of prayer that continues daily for what is now Campground Coffee, they got to work and what was a dream came to life. The Williams are also very excited to be actively a part of seeing their home church, Multiply.Church start a new location in Hickory launching in 2023! And if you want to know more, just ask, they’d be happy to share more about their story.
